Cookies & Local Storage
The short version
- aomadinah.com sets no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and runs no third-party web analytics.
- That is why you see no cookie banner — there is nothing optional to consent to.
- Strictly necessary storage appears only on the delete-my-data page, and only while you use it.
- The mobile app stores preferences and cached images on your device, and you can clear them at any time.
1. What these terms mean
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage do the same job with a different mechanism. Mobile apps use equivalents: preference files and image caches on the device. This page covers all of them together.
2. On aomadinah.com
2.1 Pages that store nothing
The home page, the blog, this page, and our other legal pages set no cookies at all. Blog posts are fetched from our own API without any identifier attached to you.
2.2 The delete-my-data page
The account-deletion form on the Privacy Policy page needs to verify your phone number, so it loads Firebase Authentication and Google reCAPTCHA. These set strictly necessary storage:

These are strictly necessary for a security feature you asked to use, so they do not require consent. If you do not want them, delete your account from inside the app instead.
2.3 Fonts and third-party requests
Our pages load the Plus Jakarta Sans typeface from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads. Google Fonts sets no cookies for this. Blog posts may load images from our own Firebase Storage. Firebase Hosting keeps standard server request logs for security and troubleshooting.
3. In the AoMadinah app
The app stores the following on your device, not in a browser:

None of this is advertising storage: the app contains no advertising SDK and no advertising identifier is read.
4. How to control it
- Browser: block or delete cookies and site data for aomadinah.com in your browser's privacy settings. The site keeps working, but the delete-my-data form will not — it needs the sign-in storage.
- Android: Settings → Apps → AoMadinah → Storage → Clear cache / Clear storage.
- iOS: offload or delete the app to clear its cache and stored preferences.
- Everything at once: delete your account, in the app or on the web form.
5. Changes
If we ever add optional analytics or any non-essential storage to the website, we will update this page and ask for your consent first through a banner. Until then, this page is the complete list.
