Privacy Policy
AoMadinah (“we”, “us”) operates the AoMadinah mobile application
(com.aomadinah.app) and the website
aomadinah.com. This policy
explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control
your data.
Information we collect
- Account details — phone number for sign-in, optional display name / username, and profile photo you choose to upload.
- Booking and travel details — package preferences, quotes, passenger / passport information you submit for Umrah bookings, payment receipts, and related messages with our team.
- Device and app data — push notification tokens, app version / build number (for update gates), and diagnostic reports you send via “Report a problem”.
- Location — only when you allow it, for Qibla direction and local weather features. Precise location is not required for browsing packages.
- Camera / photos — when you use AR Qibla, set a profile picture, or scan / attach passport images for traveller documents.
How we use information
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Process quotes, bookings, documents, and wallet top-ups
- Send transactional notifications about your bookings
- Improve reliability (App Check, crash / issue reports)
- Comply with travel-agency and legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Service providers
We use trusted processors to run the app, including Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, App Check, Analytics as configured), Apple / Google push infrastructure, and travel partners used only to fulfil bookings you request (for example hotel / flight availability APIs). They process data on our instructions under their own security controls.
Data retention
We keep account and booking records while your account is active and for as long as needed for agency operations, dispute handling, and legal requirements. You may request account deletion in the app (Settings → Delete account). Some booking records may be retained in anonymised or operational form where required for travel fulfilment.
Your choices
- Update profile details in Settings
- Revoke location, camera, or photo library access in system settings
- Disable notifications in system settings
- Request account deletion from the in-app Delete account flow
Children
The app is intended for adults arranging travel. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 for their own accounts.
